It's Time to 'Renew' Your Relationship with the Lord!

Isaiah 40:31 (ESV), "But they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint."

INTRODUCTION
Christian "Believers" cannot walk away "Consciou-Free." Why do I make this statement? I am glad you asked this question. It is simply because your "God-Conscious" will not allow your "Word-Conscious" to govern your mind and body. Your "World-Conscious" might be in control for some time, and this could be an extended period. But I believe true Christian believers and Children of God will make it back home to Him. How can you 'WALK' around with the Kingdom in you and NOT find your way back to the Kingdom?
Moreover, if you do not come back to "Renew" your relationship with God, you were NOT a Child of God in the first place. We must understand that our relationship with God is broken before we can restore it. It is broken not because of anything God has done but because of what we have done. We have turned away from God's standards and made our way. Our "way (sin)" is a very interesting "Concept." Because what becomes our "way' is Satan's way. Mother Earth is Satan's "way," his kingdom, and his parardise. We have two choices since this is "NOT" our home. We are visitors here. Christ came here to save us from Satan. So, the choices we must 'Choose' from are Satan's "way" or God's "Way."The Bible tells us in 1 John 3:8, "The one who does what is sinful is of the devil; because the devil has been sinning from the beginning." John 8:44 further illuminates Satan's "way" by saying, "You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father desires. He was a "murderer" from the beginning, NOT holding to the truth in him; when he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies." Lastly, let me show you why the devil seeks to utilize "Any Means Necessary" to keep you from returning to God! John 10:10 says, "The thief ( the devil) comes only to STEAL, KILL, and DESTROY; now keep what the Lord says; "I have come that they may have life and have it abundantly!" He Comes to "SAVE" you BY Any Means Necessary!
We Stay Away from God and Walk Directly into Sin
Sin is a critical concept in Christianity, but it’s also that negative word no one likes to talk about. We prefer to be positive and think that people are good. But Christianity claims that sin has a hold on everyone.
a. Sin involves any deviation from God’s perfect standard of holiness. This can result from our thoughts, behavior, or what we say. Christ emphasized the importance of being internally moral, not just externally moral.
b. Our sinful behavior harms others, harms us, and, more importantly, insults a holy God. This isn't God's method of depriving us of life's pleasure. Instead, if we are meant to function optimally in a specific manner—living in harmony with God—then the most beneficial action for us is to mend
our fractured relationship with God and delight in life within His boundaries.
As a result of sin, we reject God and instead put ourselves in His place. This means that sin is not only our separation from God but also our willful disobedience. As a whole, we are fallen and sinful, but we are also lost and sinful individually. As Paul explained, “As it is written: "There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God." All have turned away. They have together become worthless; no one does good, not even one” (Romans 3:10-12).
God "Wants" You Back!
God is "Calling" You!
a.Is your relationship with God the most important one in your life? What evidence in your life
shows that this is true?
b.What do you need to change about your schedule to be more consistent in having a
daily quiet time with God?
c. Think of two practical ways to increase or improve your conversations with God. How can
you put those ideas into practice today?
Are you ready to trust God to fulfill his promise of eternal life? Then, we need to go to the Lord in prayer:
a. "Dear God, I believe Jesus Christ is your Son.
b. I confess I have sinned, and I ask for your forgiveness.
c. I believe that Jesus died to take away my sins and that you raised him to life.
d. I want to trust Jesus as my Savior and follow him as Lord from this day forward.
e. Guide my life and help me to do your will. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen."
Isaiah 40:31 (ESV) says, "But they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint."
This verse is well-known for its message of hope and strength. It states: "But those who hope in
the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow
weary; they will walk and not be faint." The imagery of soaring on wings like eagles suggests a
sense of freedom, elevation, and the ability to rise above challenges. Running without growing
weary and walking without fainting emphasizes resilience and the capacity to endure life's
journey without exhaustion. Overall, it conveys a message of hope and empowerment, often
interpreted as a "promise of strength" provided by faith or a higher power.
Christian Believers who desire to "Reconnect with God must:
a. Look for God by developing Hope and Faith. Isaiah 40:31 emphasizes the "importance of
placing "Hope" and "Trust" in God! Hope and "Trust" open the door to the "Word of God"
being
"FACT." "FACT" is the fuel that ignites a 'God and Man' relationship. Because FACT is Faith.
Faith is Assurance. Assurance is Confidence. Confidence is Trust. And Trust is Truth. Rom.10:9-10
says, "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe God raised him from the
dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes and is justified; with the mouth, one confesses and is saved. That's a "FACT
b. Listen for God by "Renewal of Strength. The Text "Conveys" the idea that relying on God can lead to a renewal of physical, emotional, and spiritual strength. God will send you a spiritual vessel gifted with "Wisdom. He sends these Children of God to you to listen to their testimonies, who know how to enjoy life and a friendship with God (relationship), and through them, we are exposed to "Hope and Wisdom," we mature in Faith in Christ, who's "KEY" to bringing "Goodness to Life."
1. Prophet Isaiah challenges us to Renew our Strength through waiting. He says," But they
that wait upon the Lord shall "Renew" their strength."
2. Waiting, Renewing, and Strengthening also requires being the "Presence" of the Holy Spirit
by:
a. Praying
b. Attending worship service
c. Bible Study
d. Writing in a journal
e. Meditation
f. Repentance and asking for forgiveness
c. Live for God by the "Imagery of Eagles" soaring, Symbolizing" our Kingdom of God relationship
where He invests "Power and Authority" in each of us. This Kingdom power symbolizes "Freedom,"
"Strength,""Resilience," and "Perseverance." Living for God implies that those who trust in God can
rise above their challenges in the world because we (Believers) embrace his "Purpose, Plan, and
Intentions in what He 'Calls" on them to do in His Kingdom. With His "Power and Authority," we
can endure all things, which suggests we have His divine support in all we do for Him. Can I get a
witness? Somebody!
d. Long for God by "Walking" and never "Fainting." Longing for God means having a hunger and thirst
to get to know Him and to live our lives according to His "Will." We "long" for God by spending as
much time with Him as possible. We 'long' for God in the ways that we "wait," renew," and
"strengthen" our relationship with Him. Lastly, We "faint' Not, which means that we "pray" without
ceasing. We "pray until we reach the "outcome deemed appropriate under the guidance of the Holy
Spirit. Amen! Somebody!
Closing Reflections: When I say, "It's Time to 'Renew' Your Relationship with the Lord!
Because the Lord wants you back! That's the reason he sent His Son into the world: to be the Savior of all of humanity. For what other reason would Jehovah "sacrifice" His Son? John 3:16-18 (ESV) has a profound meaning: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. Or God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but so that the world might be saved through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe is condemned already because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God."
